Purvis joined Field Fisher Waterhouse in April 2008. He advises a range of employers within the public, private and non-profit sector. He advises on the full scope of employment law issues, ranging from contractual and policy matters, restrictive covenants, unfair dismissal, redundancies, reorganisations to complex Employment Tribunal litigation.

He has particular expertise in equality and diversity issues. He deals with a wide range of discrimination claims, in particular involving sex, race and disability discrimination. He is also developing our Equality Impact Assessment work for public bodies covered by the public equality duties.

Purvis has provided employment law training as part of the Employment and Pensions Group annual training prospectus and recently wrote an article on the Equality Bill for the Employment Law Journal.
